Wondering is a product is certified organic gardening?

Look for the OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) designation. Not all organic products carry this label, but if you see it, then you can be sure that it’s organic.

Also, when in doubt about a product or method, feel free to ask the garden leadership.
